Volleyball Recap: Zion Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Zion Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2020.

While Zion Christian Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Battle Ground Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-15.

Zion Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Battle Ground Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Zion Christian Academy will take on Lighthouse Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Battle Ground Academy, they will head out to square off against Grace Christian Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
