Basketball Recap: Minneola Takes a Loss

Minneola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the LaCrosse Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-38 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Minneola lost, don't look at Levi Lang. Despite the final result, he on his way to 37 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 64.9% of Minneola's points, marking the third time in a row Lang has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tyson Klotz, who scored nine points and eight boards.

Minneola's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for LaCrosse, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Minneola wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 88-49 win against Rolla on the 25th. As for LaCrosse, they have also already played their next contest, an 84-26 victory against Osborne on the 25th.
