Volleyball Recap: Andover Comes Up Short

If Andover was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Spring Lake Park on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies came up short against the Centennial Cougars on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Huskies have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Andover was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-22, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Kylie Fish and Ali Dehnicke, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Taegan Groess and her nine assists.

Andover's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Andover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Owatonna on the 13th. As for Centennial, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Rosemount on the 12th.
