Football Game Preview: Hull Pirates vs. Boston English/New Mission Bulldogs

The Hull Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Boston English/New Mission Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hull's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hull took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Monomoy a 13-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Pirates were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Boston English/New Mission beat Tech Boston Academy 14-9 on Friday.

Hull's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Boston English/New Mission, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Everything went Hull's way against Boston English/New Mission when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as Hull made off with a 34-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
