Volleyball Recap: Balin Sillence-Dhamrait's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Whitney over Monterey

Whitney's tournament run continued when they took on Monterey on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Dores by a score of 2-1.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Balin Sillence-Dhamrait, who had 20 assists. Another player making a difference was Martin Lim, who had 11 assists and five digs.

Whitney has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Monterey, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Whitney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Hollister on the 29th. As for Monterey, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Carmel on the 29th.
