 After flying high against the Dallas Academy Bulldogs  last Friday, the St. Paul's Prep Lions  came back down to earth. St. Paul's Prep was beaten by Victory Christian Academy 96-22 on Friday. St. Paul's Prep has struggled against Victory Christian Academy recently, as their  matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
  Jeremy Perkins and  Landon Applon certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss.  Perkins  scored nine points along with two  steals, while  Applon  scored ten points along with six  rebounds. Perkins has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last five times he's  played.  Cooper Maumus was another key contributor,  scoring  no points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals.
 Victory Christian Academy's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Jerran Martin, who  scored 18 points along with five  steals and two  blocks. That's the first time this season that  Martin  posted two or more   blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of  Layton Huddleston, who  scored 20 points along with six  rebounds and five  assists.
 St. Paul's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Victory Christian Academy, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 17-7 record this season.
 St. Paul's Prep will be playing at home against Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Heritage Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Community Christian at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Community Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
