The Maconaquah Braves will head out on the road to  face off against  the Peru Tigers  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Maconaquah is coming into the  matchup on  a  three-game losing streak.
Maconaquah made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southwood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Braves fell just short of the Knights by a score of  4-2 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Braves have suffered  against the Knights since May 3, 2017.
 Blayklee Buman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on four hits.
 At the plate, Maconaquah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ireland Kile, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  RBI.
Rochester hit Peru with a seven-run second inning  on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers took  an  11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Zebras. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Bailee - 'Boo' Kintner put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and ten unearned) runs off   11  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Lilly Steele was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Kyannah Correll, who  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Maconaquah's record now sits at 3-12. As for Peru, their record is now 8-8.
 Everything went Maconaquah's way against Peru when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, as Maconaquah made off with  an  11-4 win. Do  the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
