Softball Game Preview: Franklin Warriors vs. Ridge Red Devil

Franklin is 0-10 against Ridge since May of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will challenge the Red Devil at 4:00 p.m. Franklin will be strutting in after a win while Ridge will be coming in after a defeat.

Franklin will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Warren Hills Regional, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Warriors blew past the Blue Streaks 15-1 on Tuesday. The game marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

The team relied heavily on C Gomez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was P Perez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Franklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ridge's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hillsborough on Tuesday.

Franklin now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ridge, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
