Softball Game Preview: Roncalli Jets vs. New Holstein Huskies

Roncalli is 2-8 against New Holstein since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Jets will host the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. Roncalli will be strutting in after a victory while New Holstein will be coming in after a loss.

Roncalli is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Manitowoc Lutheran. The Jets won by a run and slipped past the Lancers 3-2.

Madison Lamers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Megan Lamers was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, New Holstein lost 12-1 to Luxemburg-Casco on Friday.

New Holstein saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Manderscheid, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
