Basketball Game Preview: Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack vs. Fullerton Warriors

The Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack will head out to square off against the Fullerton Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elgin/Pope John will be strutting in after a win while Fullerton will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, Elgin/Pope John was able to grind out a solid victory over Bloomfield, taking the game 46-39.

Elgin/Pope John got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braelyn Martinsen out in front who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Kurpgeweit, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, Fullerton's game on Friday was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Heartland. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elgin/Pope John has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Fullerton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Elgin/Pope John strolled past Fullerton when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 52-36. Does Elgin/Pope John have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fullerton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
