Volleyball Game Preview: Sierra Pacific Golden Bears vs. Reedley Pirates

The Sierra Pacific Golden Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Reedley Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Sierra Pacific lost 3-0 to Kerman on Monday.

Sierra Pacific was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 26-24.

Reedley not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Washington Union with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Reedley was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-18.

Reedley's victory bumped their record up to 20-9-1. As for Sierra Pacific, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Sierra Pacific suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Reedley in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can the Golden Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
