Dayton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Colton Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Bulldogs were just returning the favor.

Dayton never let Colton on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-21.

Colton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dayton is set to take on their familiar foe Tekoa-Rosalia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Colton will challenge rival Oakesdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
