Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palm Desert). Everything went their way against the Xavier Prep Saints on Wednesday as the Palm Desert Aztecs made off with a 9-1 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win got Palm Desert back to even at 8-8-3. As for Xavier Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-15-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Desert will head out to square off against La Quinta at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Palm Desert's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three games. As for Xavier Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Rancho Mirage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
