Football Recap: Lakeland Falls Short Against Ranked De La Salle + How To Watch

Lakeland is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of De La Salle. The Dreadnaughts fell 10-6 to the Spartans. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, the Dreadnaughts couldn't push the score so high this time.

Among those leading the charge was Duece Jones-Drew, who rushed for 81 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2024.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Lakeland will host Lake Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for De La Salle, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Junipero Serra at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
