Basketball Game Preview: Bolton Wildcats vs. St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles

The Bolton Wildcats will face off against the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bolton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Bolton took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Mitchell, posting a 79-37 victory. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season.

E'Darian Washington was his usual excellent self, going 15 for 19 on his way to 38 points. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylan Collins, who posted four points in addition to seven assists and five steals.

Meanwhile, St. Benedict at Auburndale was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 59-50 to Brighton. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Cardinals are ranked 111th).

Bolton pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
