Volleyball Recap: Hayward Comes Up Short

After flying high against San Lorenzo last Wednesday, Hayward came back down to earth. The Farmers lost 3-0 to the San Leandro Pirates on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Farmers in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost six in a row.

Hayward was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made San Leandro work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-19.

Hayward now has a losing record of 6-7. As for San Leandro, their record now sits at 13-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hayward will host Mt. Eden at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for San Leandro, they will be playing at home against Castro Valley at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
