Basketball Recap: Mountain View's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

If Mountain View was riding high fresh off their 58-23 takedown of Post Falls on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mavericks fell 64-53 to the Coeur d'Alene Vikings on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mavericks in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Mountain View lost, don't look at Addie Lee. Despite the final result, she shot 41% from the field to rack up 26 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. With that strong performance, Lee is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. Quincy Keller was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

Brookeslee Colvin was nothing short of spectacular for Coeur d'Alene: she went 9-for-22 en route to 30 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Colvin has scored at least a third of the Vikings' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabre Reardon, who made all 5 shots she took racking up 12 points and eight boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mountain View fell to 3-1. As for Coeur d'Alene, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mountain View will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parma at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd. As for Coeur d'Alene, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-46 win against Lewiston on the 25th.
