After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fletcher, Cyril was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Grandfield Bearcats. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Bearcats two weeks ago, they had to take a 13-5 defeat.

Cyril's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Grandfield, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cyril will head out to challenge Carnegie at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.36 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Grandfield, they will square off against Ringling at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
