Basketball Game Preview: Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors vs. James Lick Comets

Yerba Buena and James Lick are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors will host the James Lick Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Yerba Buena will bounce into Friday's game after beating Overfelt, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Yerba Buena secured a 47-43 W over Overfelt on Wednesday.

It was another big night for Brandon Tran, who posted 31 points. Thien Nguyen was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask James Lick). They put the hurt on San Jose with a sharp 62-38 win on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Comets as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Yerba Buena's win bumped their record up to 2-17. As for James Lick, their victory bumped their record up to 3-15.
