Baseball Game Preview: Towson Generals vs. Archbishop Curley Friars

For the second straight game, Towson will face off against Archbishop Curley. The Generals will venture away from home to take on the Friars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Towson has nine straight victories, Archbishop Curley has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Towson barely beat Archbishop Curley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Generals put the hurt on the Friars with a sharp 11-1 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Generals, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Towson's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Archbishop Curley, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
