Burns entered their tilt with Vale on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 50-42. Given the Hilanders' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Vikings are ranked 135th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Burns' win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Vale, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Burns will be playing in front of their home fans against Ontario at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vale, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-67 defeat against Nyssa on the 31st.
