Softball Preview: LaBrae Vikings vs. Newton Falls Tigers
The LaBrae Vikings will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Newton Falls Tigers at 5:00 p.m. LaBrae will be strutting in after a win while Newton Falls will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, LaBrae got the win against Mineral Ridge by a conclusive 12-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for LaBrae.
Riley Rowe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Rowe was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, a stolen base, and a run.
In other batting news, Mariah Jones was incredible, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3. Morgan Thompson was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
