The Milwaukee Reagan Huskies will face off against the Greendale Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Milwaukee Reagan's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while Greendale has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Milwaukee Reagan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Milwaukee Bay View on Wednesday as they made off with a 24-4 victory. Considering the Huskies have won 18 contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alyssa Frank-Kuzmiuk was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Scott, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, Greendale never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Riverside University/Meir. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Aubrey Cook made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Greendale got a massive performance out of Ella Padron, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Makayla Lewitzke was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Greendale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverside University/Meir only posted an OBP of .250.
Milwaukee Reagan is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Greendale, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Milwaukee Reagan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .479. However, it's not like Greendale struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
