Basketball Recap: Terry Takes a Loss

Terry easily dispatched Crystal Springs on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Madison Central Jaguars by a score of 59-57 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Madison Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddox Singletary led the charge by going 7-for-15 en route to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeff Flanagan, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points.

Terry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Madison Central, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Terry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-49 win against Northwest Rankin on the 21st. As for Madison Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 74-69 loss against Meridian on the 20th.
