Softball Recap: Fairfax Takes a Loss

Fairfax fell victim to Venice and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Gondoliers, falling 22-0. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Gondoliers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Fairfax saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Vasquez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Fairfax's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Venice, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Fairfax will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hamilton at 2:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Venice, they will head out on the road to face off against Arleta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
