Eastern Alamance hadn't done well against Southern Alamance recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Patriots back in August, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Eastern Alamance got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 30-28, 25-15.

Morgan Beckham paced Eastern Alamance's offense, picking up eight kills. Beckham got some help from Hannah Batista and her 13 assists. Batista was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Eastern Alamance is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Southern Alamance, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.
