After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Newton, Richland County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces as they made off with an 11-1 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted against the Golden Aces since March 16, 2019.

Natalie Ochs tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Miranda Dowty and Taylor Bloomer did most of the damage at the plate: Dowty went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Bloomer scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That home run was Dowty's first of the season. Clara Williams was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Richland County lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Richland County's record is now 5-3. As for Mt. Carmel, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland County will venture away from home to square off against Lawrenceville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mt. Carmel, they will head out to take on Newton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Golden Aces surely won't give up without a fight.
