Basketball Recap: Sterlington Takes a Loss

Sterlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Amant Gators. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly seven points.

Sterlington's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for St. Amant, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-18 record this season.

Sterlington has already played their next contest, a 60-53 defeat against Franklin Parish on the 6th. As for St. Amant, they will take on French Settlement at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. French Settlement will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something St. Amant surely won't give up without a fight.
