Baseball Recap: Kindred Drops Highest Score of Season Against Hankinson/Campbell-Tintah/Fairmount

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kindred). They put the hurt on the Hankinson/Campbell-Tintah/Fairmount Rebels with a sharp 17-6 victory on Monday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Stone, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Carson Gette also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kindred kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win was the third in a row for Kindred, bringing their record up to 10-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Hankinson/Campbell-Tintah/Fairmount, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
