After each having a week off, Gulliver Prep and Ransom Everglades will shake off the rust and duke it out at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Gulliver Prep lost a heartbreaker the last time they played St. Brendan, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Raiders blew past the Sabres 42-0 last Friday. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Among those leading the charge was Brendan Beery, who threw for 183 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (160.4). Dennis Obsaint made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Gulliver Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Champ Smith, Obsaint, and Leondrez Leonard picked up one apiece. Obsaint got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Ransom Everglades waltzed into their contest two weeks ago with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 44-0 win over the Lions. The Raiders' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three games.
Ransom Everglades' win came from a few key players Gulliver Prep will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Matthew Guevara, who threw for 83 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Duncan, who rushed for 75 yards and one score on only six carries.
One reason for the win was Ransom Everglades' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Charlie Holleman and Callum Kelleher, who racked up four sacks between them. Holleman also made four total tackles, which is notable because Ransom Everglades is 4-1 when he posts at least four total tackles, but 2-3 otherwise.
Gulliver Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Ransom Everglades, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
