Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Montclair walked away with it. They walked away with a 2-0 win over The Palmdale Aerospace Academy on Saturday. Give the Cavaliers' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Arturo Cercado and David Murillo scored both of Montclair's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Montclair's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five games. As for The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-3.

Coming up, Montclair will take on Sunny Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sunny Hills will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Montclair surely won't give up without a fight. The Palmdale Aerospace Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
