Abingdon/Avon took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Knoxville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tornadoes had just enough and edged out the Blue Bullets 4-3. The game snapped a strange streak: the last six times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Kolbe Hightower was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Hook, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The victory got Abingdon/Avon back to even at 8-8. As for Knoxville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.
