Softball Recap: Keene Chargers vs. Life Oak Cliff Lions
Keene was the 16-4 winner over Life Oak Cliff when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 7-6 on Friday.

Sadie Ramirez was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Anjaline Kurn and Amber Vaughan did some serious damage despite the final result: Kurn scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2, while Vaughan scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Kurn also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Maya John was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base.
Keene's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-7. As for Life Oak Cliff, they pushed their record up to 10-9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
