Soccer Recap: Edgewood Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Edgewood and Towson squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Edgewood had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Generals. While losing is never fun, Edgewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland soccer rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while Towson are ranked 47th).

Edgewood has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-3 record this season. As for Towson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

As of now, neither Edgewood nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
