Basketball Recap: Park Rapids Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Park Rapids challenged Staples-Motley on Friday. The Park Rapids Panthers fell to the Staples-Motley Cardinals 54-50. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 95-94.

When it comes to explaining why Park Rapids lost, don't look at Ryan Carroll. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. Carroll's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was Carter Hirt, who posted six points along with six assists and six steals.

Park Rapids' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-14. As for Staples-Motley, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

As of now, neither Park Rapids nor Staples-Motley have any future games scheduled.
