Softball Recap: Lancaster Has No Trouble Against Westmoreland

Lancaster got themselves on the board against Westmoreland on Thursday, but Westmoreland never followed suit. They blew past the Eagles 15-0. Considering the Red Devils have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lancaster got a massive performance out of Addie George, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Kelsie Cox also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lancaster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westmoreland only posted an OBP of .062.

Lancaster's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-5. As for Westmoreland, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster will head out to face off against Rappahannock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westmoreland, they will head out on the road to square off against Northumberland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
