Baseball Recap: Pinon Comes Up Short

Pinon came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 22-0 to the Round Valley Elks. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Elks recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Pinon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Round Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Pinon will challenge St. Johns at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Round Valley, they will take on Blue Ridge at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Elks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
