Basketball Recap: Beaver Dam Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Beaver Dam's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 win over the Indian Springs Thunderbirds. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Diamondback as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Indian Springs still got an impressive performance from Vance Dilger, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. Dilger is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Gourley, who posted 14 points.

Beaver Dam's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Indian Springs, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaver Dam will square off against Beatty at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Indian Springs, they will challenge Sandy Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
