Basketball Recap: Emmanuel Adetutu's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Riverdale over East Lee County

Riverdale was the 63-59 winner over East Lee County when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Riverdale Raiders took a 67-51 bruising from the East Lee County Jaguars on Thursday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverdale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmanuel Adetutu, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jamar Underwood, who had nine points.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for East Lee County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-12.

Riverdale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ida Baker at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for East Lee County, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the East Lee County Jaguars take on the Cypress Lake Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
