Basketball Recap: Cannon Falls Takes a Loss

Cannon Falls has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 96-79 fall against the Lewiston-Altura Cardinals on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bombers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Cardinals are ranked 156th).

Cannon Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Lewiston-Altura, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Cannon Falls will host Zumbrota-Mazeppa at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cannon Falls is facing Zumbrota-Mazeppa at the right time seeing as Zumbrota-Mazeppa is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
