Volleyball Recap: Schaumburg Takes a Loss

Schaumburg saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huntley Red Raiders. The Saxons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Avery Duever paced Schaumburg's offense, picking up four kills. Duever got some help from Katelynn Caldwell and her eight assists. Duever was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Schaumburg's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Huntley, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-6.

Coincidentally, Schaumburg and Huntley will both be playing Barrington the next time they take the court. The Saxons will head out to face the Fillies/Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Red Raiders will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
