Basketball Recap: Bella Recker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Osceola over High Plains

Osceola suffered their closest loss since February 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the High Plains Storm by a score of 56-53. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Storm: they've now lost three in a row.

Osceola's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Recker, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Recker is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Emersyn Prososki was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 16 points.

High Plains got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rylee Ackerson out in front who went 5-for-6 en route to 16 points. What's more, Ackerson also posted a 83% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Gahvrielle Lesiak, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Osceola now has a losing record of 11-12. As for High Plains, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Osceola nor High Plains have any future games scheduled.
