Basketball Recap: Briggsdale Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Briggsdale entered their tilt with Caliche on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy 42-28 win over the Caliche Buffaloes. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buffaloes, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Briggsdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bailey Loyd, who went 8 of 16 en route to 21 points and three steals. Loyd continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Claire Brown, who posted 13 points.

Briggsdale's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Caliche, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Briggsdale will venture away from home to challenge Lone Star at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caliche, they will welcome Holyoke at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
