Cedar Creek had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-7 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Egg Harbor Township Eagles as they made off with a 12-6 win. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 9-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

As for Egg Harbor Township, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Egg Harbor Township's part, Mary Del Re made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Del Re also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Kaci Velardi was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Creek will take on Atlantic County Institute of Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Egg Harbor Township, they will face off against St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
