Baseball Recap: Seaholm Wins Going Away Against Harper Woods

While Seaholm put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Harper Woods. The Maples put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 10-0 win. The Maples might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Aaron Vandemark tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Seaholm got a big performance out of Nick Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Hughes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Seaholm and bumps their season record up to 14-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Harper Woods, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Seaholm will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pioneers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
