Softball Recap: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Sterling Tigers
Brush posted their closest win since September 30, 2023 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sterling Tigers , sneaking past 13-11. With that victory, the Beetdiggers brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Haedynn Epple was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Miller, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, a stolen base, and a double.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Brush kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in September of 2023.
The win made it two in a row for Brush and bumps their season record up to 3-6. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Bayard the next time they take the field. Sterling will head out to face Bayard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Brush will host them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
