Football Recap: Granbury Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Granbury extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 2-8. They were beaten by the Brewer Bears 34-7. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 839th, while the Bears are ranked 256th).

Austin Reeves threw for 83 yards on 12 of 18 attempts. Christopher Skinner was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards. On the ground, Hunter Rodgers rushed for 46 yards.

As for Brewer, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Kameron Coleman produced another solid effort rushing for 150 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Brewer also got help from Devan Roberts, who showed off his sure hands for 109 receiving yards.

Granbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brewer, they are taking a road trip to square off against Arlington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
