Basketball Game Preview: Coconino Panthers vs. Cactus Shadows Falcons

Coconino has won three straight games at home, while Cactus Shadows has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Coconino Panthers will host the Cactus Shadows Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Coconino will bounce into Friday's match after beating Bradshaw Mountain, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Coconino skirted past Bradshaw Mountain 63-60.

Meanwhile, Cactus Shadows strolled past Marcos de Niza with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 71-55.

Coconino's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Cactus Shadows, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Things could have been worse for Coconino, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-46 loss to Cactus Shadows in their previous matchup back in November of 2024.
