Simla gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Peetz Bulldogs with a sharp 12-2 victory.

T.J. Eurich was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 15 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

In other batting news, Simla got a massive performance out of Wyatt Stanko, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Stanko has posted since back in April of 2024. Tatum Kocerha was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Simla always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peetz only posted an OBP of .273.

Simla has already played their next matchup, an 8-4 defeat against Akron on the 22nd. As for Peetz, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-2 loss against Flatirons Academy on the 22nd.
