Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

A Season-Best Effort from Kyle Dupill Leads Franklin Regional over Fox Chapel

Franklin Regional was led to victory by Kyle Dupill, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Whipple Made His Presence Known in Penn-Trafford's 32-13 Victory

Tasso Whipple put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 249 yards while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he posted at least 163 rushing yards in the third games prior.

Gateway's probably not too fond of Whipple given he always seems to get the better of them. When Whipple last faced the Gators back in October of 2023, he rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 73 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Kiski Area's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Carson Heinle

Kiski Area's five-game losing streak is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Carson Heinle. Heinle did his part (and then some), throwing for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, while also rushing for 104 yards on only 14 carries for the 'W'. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2023.

If history really does repeat itself, Heinle might just drop another big game when he faces off against Armstrong on Friday. Heinle threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the River Hawks duked it out back in October of 2023.

Big Game from Kucic As Kiski Area Won 36-13

Thanks in part to Landon Kucic, Kiski Area said goodbye to their five-game losing streak. Greater Latrobe had no answer to Kucic on Friday as he rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns.

Kucic is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Armstrong on Friday. When Kucic last faced the River Hawks back in October of 2023, he rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
